Accessibility
This site is meant to work for everyone, with a keyboard, a screen reader, or a phone held in one hand. Here is what we do and how to tell us when something is in your way.
Last updated: October 2026
1. The standard
We work to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA for theforged.life and the pages it links to, including the church, join and partner pages. Every page is checked against those guidelines with automated tools and by hand before it goes live, and again when it changes.
2. What the site does
Every page can be used with a keyboard alone: a "Skip to content" link appears when you tab into the page, every link and button shows a visible focus ring, and nothing needs a mouse. Headings are in order so a screen reader can jump through a page, every image that carries meaning has a text description, and the page structure uses landmarks (header, navigation, main, footer). Text and controls meet the AA contrast ratio on every page, including the women's pages with their own colors. Text can be enlarged to 200 percent without anything breaking, and the site honors your system's reduced-motion setting.
Scripture quotations, study names and the app's own words are written out in full rather than shown only as pictures.
3. The app
The ForgedLife app for iPhone and iPad is built with Apple's standard controls, so VoiceOver, Dynamic Type, Bold Text and the other settings under Accessibility on your device apply throughout. If a screen does not read well or a control is hard to reach, we want to know.
4. Tell us
If any part of the site or the app is hard for you to use, email support@theforged.life with the page or screen and what happened. We read every message and fix what we can, and we will tell you when it is done.
